Rules and Guidelines
So everyone here can make it a movie night to remember (in a good way), please observe these guidelines (and be respectful to our staff as they enforce them).
- No outside food or drinks allowed. Instead, visit the Moonlight Cafe or Starshine snack stand, where you will find a wide selection of your favorite food, drinks, snacks, and of course, popcorn. We depend on your support, as it’s the lifeline of the Van Buren Drive-in and helps make our events possible.
- The speed limit is 6 mph. For your safety and others’, please drive with care and watch for children as they run and play at the drive-in.
- Please drive with parking lights only after dark to avoid disrupting the movie for others.
- The playground area closes at the beginning of the first movie.
- Please park in designated areas only. One car between each set of poles. Larger vehicles will need to park in rings further back.
- Cars with hatchbacks are to be opened no higher than the roof of your car. Tie in place if needed. We do have straps available to borrow at one of our concession buildings.
- All vehicles’ lights must be turned off during the showing of a movie. This includes headlights, parking, and running lights, as well as interior lights. Please be responsible and know how they work before you arrive.
- Please be considerate of all guests by not causing interruptions that would interfere with people in neighboring vehicles enjoying the movies.
- Smoking/vaping is strictly prohibited anywhere outside of designated areas. This includes all parking areas, outside / inside of any building, or on any pathway. Designated areas are located along the outer ring perimeter of the field.
- Please help us keep the drive-in clean and dispose of trash accordingly. Trash cans and recycle cans are placed conveniently around the field.
- We’re pet friendly if your pet is friendly. We ask that they be leashed and under control at all times. Please be responsible and clean up after your pets. Pets are not allowed in the Moonlight Cafe or restrooms.
- For your safety, please wear shoes at all times. We are continuously picking up the field, but there’s still ancient debris (like glass and pull tabs) turning up from disposal on the grounds from years past.
- No Re-Entry. Any patrons who leave the drive-in and choose to return will be charged full admission at the gate to re-enter.
- Please exit around the outer ring and out through the gates at the back side of the field. Choose turning lanes accordingly. Do not use the entrance to exit.
- Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
